7/1/2022: Johanna Reeves Appointed to Continue Serving on DTAG
The Defense Trade Advisory Group (DTAG) is established under the authority of the Secretary and Department of State to provide a formal channel for regular consultation and coordination with U.S. private sector defense exporters and defense trade specialists on issues involving U.S. laws, policies, and regulations for exports of defense articles, services, and related technical data. The DTAG serves the Department solely in an advisory capacity. Membership of the DTAG is appointed by the Assistant Secretary.
Johanna has served since 2016, making this recent appointment her fourth term. Congratulations, Johanna!
5/20/22: Katherine Heubert Elected to SIA Board of Directors
We are proud to announce that Katherine Heubert has been selected to serve on the Society of International Affairs (SIA) 2022-24 Board of Directors. Katherine will serve on the Planning and Education Committee. SIA is a volunteer, non-profit, educational organization that was jointly formed in 1967 by U.S. Government and Industry. SIA provides a forum for the exchange of information related to export and import licensing. Johanna Reeves Testifies before the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations
Johanna Reeves testified at a hearing held by the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations in favor of the proposed rules that would transition most firearms and ammunition from the export controls of the State Department’s International Traffic in Arms Regulations over to the jurisdiction of the Commerce Department and its Export Administration Regulations.
